Vasutha's Story
Vasutha was diagnosed with leprosy when she was pregnant with her third child.
“I found white patches on my skin. I was unaware and ignorant. The patches were spreading and I was scared. The doctor asked me to take medication. It was a nightmare; I was worried about my baby.
“During these difficult times, our neighbours, relatives and friends didn’t want to know us. We were unwanted in the community. However, The Leprosy Mission supported us emotionally, mentally, and in many other ways.
